What’s playing on your mind at work? Is it concerns about meeting your budget, hitting ESG targets, skills shortages or where you buy your PPE? In an ever-changing global climate, with the on-going cost-of-living crisis, people are under more pressure to achieve goals.
And this is why RS wants to hear from you. It is taking a temperature check for health and safety professionals to gauge how they are feeling about the state of the industry.
The findings will be shared in spring 2024 in its new Health and Safety report. This report follows RS’ successful 2023 survey, which was the first of its kind for the company. More than 700 people from the UK and Ireland completed the 2023 survey and several key themes stood out including retaining talent, supply chain challenges, sustainability and compliance. Now, RS wants to find out if things have improved, stayed the same or worsened over the past 12 months.
“We were absolutely delighted with the huge response we had from the 2023 Under the Surface of Health and Safety report,” said Ryan Plummer, senior director of RS Safety Solutions.
“We have more than 200 years of experience in PPE, offering safety solutions and advice for our customers. It’s really important for us to understand the challenges and concerns facing health and safety professionals.
“'Alongside the survey, we have recently introduced a new Health & Safety Professionals community on LinkedIn Health & Safety Professionals community on LinkedIn , because of the feedback in last year’s survey. Survey respondents told us there was a lack of this type of community activity the industry. The new LinkedIn group has been set up by health and safety professionals for those in the same roles as a place to access information and advice that can make their job easier. This includes health and safety news, sourcing expertise, advice on legislation and more."
This year’s survey will ask questions about PPE for women, compliance and what you perceive to be potential future risks within the health and safety sector.
Plummer added: “We also held a women’s PPE and workwear event at our Corby headquarters recently, where we heard from suppliers about the innovations and strides they are making in this particular area. It was great to hear from customers across various industries and sectors and receive valuable feedback from them in this setting.
“Plans are already underway to hold more events of this kind in 2024. We’d love to hear from anybody who would be interested in attending one of these.”
Anybody who completes RS’ Health and Safety 2024 survey will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a £200 M&S voucher and an iPad. The survey will close on December 29, so make sure to take part for your chance to win. Good luck!
