The new products will provide affordable options for operators to instantly decarbonise their fleets.
Two new battery single-deckers have been announced as the latest products, in 6m and 9m variants. In addition, two trucks have been launched, a 7.5 tonne in left-hand and right-hand drive.
Rightech Brand and EV Production
The EVs will be launched under the Ballymena-based company’s new Rightech brand, which aims to sell across UK, Ireland and Europe.
The buses will be produced by Chinese manufacturer King Long, with other specifications and instalments occurring in the UK.
The vehicles are powered by CATL batteries mounted on their roofs.
Service Agreement with Sapphire and Expansion Plans
Rightech has also struck a service agreement with Sapphire for the UK, adding 14 regional workshops to the existing three operated by Wrightbus – Ballymena, Bicester, and Warwick.
Wrightbus’s Commitment to Energy Transition
Wrightbus owner Jo Bamford said: "Given the very tangible effects of climate change on our planet there’s simply no time to waste.
Each one of my businesses is focused on energy transition, from vehicles, hydrogen and sustainable fuels through to supply, distribution and infrastructure.
But operators need to act now with affordable solutions in front of them. Rightech has the answer - offering an incredible product with the backing of Britain’s best bus manufacturer."
