MTM Engineering to create 200 jobs and opens new Slane HQ

This modern facility marks a significant milestone for the company. Along with the new headquarters, MTM Engineering is pleased to announce the creation of 200 new jobs, which will bring its total workforce to over 1,000 people by the end of the year.

The official opening of the new headquarters took place on Tuesday, 10th September 2024. The new offices, which accommodate 40 of the new roles locally, reflect MTM Engineering’s commitment to investing in both the local community and its international operations. With 90% of its revenues generated outside Ireland, MTM Engineering has established itself as a major player in global markets, particularly in the rapidly growing data centre sector.

Speaking on the announcement, Brendan Mee, MTM's CEO, commented: “This is an exciting milestone for us, and we are proud to announce the expansion of our headquarters here in Slane, creating 200 new jobs. The investment represents our long-term commitment to growing both our business and our presence in the local community – as well as throughout Europe and beyond. The new roles will span a variety of functions, including engineering, operations, finance, commercial, health & safety, quality, logistics and administration, helping us continue to meet the growing demand for our services while maintaining our dedication to innovation and quality.”

Since its founding, MTM Engineering has evolved from a cable installation and termination company in Ireland to a leading global provider of the critical path delivery in power and communication services, now operating in 10 countries.

MTM Engineering has acquired Leo Larkin Electrical, CET Connect, ATSS Ventures and T.A Ronan over the past 3 years to expand their service offerings in adjacent sectors and new markets, with both CET Connect and T.A Ronan continuing to grow within their marketplace.

In 2022, MTM partnered with Waterland Private Equity Ireland to advance its global growth ambitions. Laura Dillon, Partner at Waterland Private Equity Ireland, said: “MTM Engineering is a reflection of its leadership in the data centre sector. The company has shown remarkable growth in international markets, and we are thrilled to support this next phase of development. The creation of 200 jobs will provide a substantial boost to the local economy and reinforces Ireland’s reputation as a hub for cutting-edge infrastructure services. We look forward to continuing to work with Brendan and the MTM team as they continue to build into the future."

With 90% of its revenue coming from international markets, MTM Engineering’s new headquarters marks a significant step in meeting the global demand for its services. This modern facility reflects the company’s long-term vision to continue leading in delivering the critical path in power and communication services, both in Ireland, across Europe, and globally.
