Roxtec appoints O'Loughlin

Roxtec, a cable and pipe seal manufacturer has announced the appointment of Bryan O'Loughlin as technical sales manager for energy and infrastructure.

The appointment by Roxtec is to further strengthen its presence in Ireland. 

This follows the hiring of Ian Gunn as technical sales manager for power, process, Energy, industry and infrastructure in Ireland last year. 

O'Loughlin will lead the company's growth strategy in Ireland across industries ranging from pharmaceuticals to wind and solar power.

As part of Roxtec's plans to expand in Ireland's data-centre market -  O'Loughlin will manage client relationships, oversee installations and ensure testing and compliance in with with industry standards. 

O'Loughlin previously spent four years at construction company, Infinity Lifts Ireland, as a repair sales manager and lift engineer. He also spent six years a Orona as a lift engineer. 

Roxtec’s managing director Clive Sharp said: “We’re delighted to welcome Bryan to Roxtec to drive growth across our key sectors. We’ve seen significant demand in data centres over the last 10 years and that is being supercharged by AI. As a result we’re already working with some of the biggest tech firms in the world across multiple data centre projects in Ireland, which Bryan will be supporting. This experience is giving Roxtec a real edge in the data centre industry as our products protect them against fire, flooding, air or gas leakage, humidity and electromagnetic disturbances to ensure nonstop operations.”

O'Loughlin, who was educated at the National University of Galway, said: “I wanted a career change and was attracted to the position by Roxtec’s ambition, its genuinely fascinating product offering and how I could apply my existing skillset to the role. Enormous opportunities exist for the business in Ireland and the scope I have to help grow its team and presence here is truly exciting." 

Roxtec is a Sweden-based company that has branched into several countries including Roxtec UK and Ireland which is based in Greater Manchester. It is known for designing customised sealing solutions for oil and gas and marine industries which protect against explosion, lightening strikes and vibration.
